Joey Fatts & Vince Staples team up for "562."
LBC rapper Joey Fatts blesses us "562," the first of three songs released today. The Supah Mario produced joint is a family affair, with cousin Vince Staples hopping on to spit a verse. The beat is uplifting with strong Cali vibes, arranged with a glistening wavelike synth and piano chord bookends.
The rappers take turns reflecting on their childhoods, sharing stories about the high school come up and riding in the Caddy with grandpa. The anecdotes are personal and endearing without being overly sentimental, which helps lace this track with a strong sense of nostalgia. The Long Beach cousins have proven to have a successful chemistry, and this is no exception.
No I don't want no Grammy plaques
I just want my grandaddy back
Ridin' in his Cadillac, like 'can I stay from school today?'
Lesson learned you crash and burn
Young Dolph drops another single, "I Pray For My Enemies."
A day before his album Bulletproof's release, Memphis spitter Young Dolph teases us again with the new single "Pray For My Enemies." Three weeks ago, Dolph turned heads with "That's How I Feel," featuring Gucci Mane.
Riffing 2Pac's best quotes, Young Dolph rhymes about his haters being sick of him. As in "Hail Mary," Dolph literally prays for the men who want to help him meet his end. A few weeks ago, the "Cut It" emcee survived a shooting in North Carolina where 100 bullets landed everywhere but on his person. Sources say he was riding in a bulletproof SUV.
Listen to "Pray For My Enemies" right here.
I'm drinking lean and she drinking Hennessy
Gucci bitch with porn star tendencies
I put her on a plane to come and visit me
Got time for her to go back she didn't wanna leave
-- Young Dolph
Joey Fatts, Curren$y, & JMSN drop "Everybody Knows."
The second of Joey Fatts' surprise releases is "Everybody Knows," featuring weed and liquor experts Curre$y & JMSN, respectively. Roc N Mayne's beat continues the trend of soulful vibes with a chopped up piano loop and some 808s, a throwback to an era where sampling dominated the game. Joey sets it off with a quotable verse, citing his pious Godlike stature before Curren$y comes in with an off-kilter flow. The New Orleans veteran slides over the beat almost lazily, making himself comfortable before disappearing like smoke traces from the bong.
Say it's chess not checkers baby,
God in these streets these other niggas reverends baby
Say this the life of the don, keep the baddest queen under my arm
Joey Fatts releases "Swingin'", the final piece of the trilogy.
LBC emcee Joey Fatts dropped three surprise tracks today, including the Roc N Mayne produced "Swingin'". As the only solo joint of the batch, Joey has ample time to make his presence felt, showcasing some clever lyricism and braggadocious lines. Fatts gets mad points for referencing Big Tigger and the classic BET joint Rap City. As the song goes on, Joey takes us to Vegas, balls it up, and shouts out Ronald Regan (or does he).
We're not sure what prompted the release of these three tracks, but we're not complaining. For now, discuss below.
In VIP I'm hella faded, hell faded
Blowin' all this money think that I'm a mason
Got these bitches all up on me the car I came in
Niggas made it from the crack shout out Ronald Regan
Training Season and Mick Jenkins link for haunting "Margarine".
Ottawa trio Training Season (GPxTempest, King Caexar, Queen) enlists Chi-Town force-to-be-reckoned-with Mick Jenkins on this hazy voyage. Reverberated synths and violent drums channel something off the It Follows soundtrack, providing the emcees with a dark, cold canvas. The end result is a track that's lyrical as hell, with each rapper going off on lengthy verses ripe with wordplay and wide-ranging subject matter before Queen rounds things off with a haunting hook.
Training Season prove capable of holding their own on a track with Jenkins, and we look forward to hearing more from the Canadian crew. Look for their upcoming album, The Caexar Saga: L Man, dropping later this year.
Run a mile through unfortunate events like Lemony Snicket
Vomit, bulimics think I'm pushing the limits
Depleted after some minutes, beat it, the pussy afflicted
With spirits, speaking in tongues, impeded speeches dyslexic
Wave is buzzing like crickets, cicadas, season is wicked
Verses stretch like pilates, niggas pay Hades a visit
John Wic gets Migos backup on new track "Same Thang."
By spotlighting YRN the Label artist John Wic, Migos are taking their love of the action franchise to fiend-status. We most certainly don't blame them, and the track hits with the intensity of Keanu Reeves beating your ass. Migos bring their trademark referential humor, namedropping Mighty Mouse and John Wayne before passing the mic to their new affiliate. Wic holds it down, delivering his verse with the fury of his namesake.
The cut is off John Wic's upcoming mixtape, One Gunman. All we know at this moment is that it's coming soon.
When I touch a mil you might well give up,
Temp fade bullets linin' you up
Hellcat four seat auto pull up
Lindsay Lohan in the trap cookin' up
$uicideboy$ drop longest-title-ever contender "You're Now Tuning in to 66.6 FM with DJ Rapture (The Hottest Hour of the Evening)".
In an interview with XXL, The New Orleans duo prefaced their latest track with a respectable statement - "we got bored fucking shit up so we decided to go back to our roots and recorded and produced whatever it was that came to mind, no matter what the ‘$uicide sound’ is supposed to be. Fuck everybody, do what makes you happy.” Pretty respectable, especially if you value uninhibited bouts of creativity.
With a title invoking some Revelations-style apocalyptic imagery, $uicideBoy$ employ a hellish reverse choir loop under some pulsating saw waves. The end result is an uneasy, horror inspired banger.
You know i'm diving head when crucified
Lucifer cried when i told him i'm choosing to die
Noose and a knife
But I ain't use the knife to loosen the noose keep it tight
Abusin' the truth that's a lie
After dropping a slew of mixtapes, Kodak Black delivers his full-length debut Painting Pictures.
The album follows the success of the Pompano Beach rapper’s hit single “Tunnel Vision,” which reached No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 on its way to being certified gold by the RIAA.
The 18-track set features appearances from Future (“Conscience”), Young Thug (“Top Off Benz”), Jeezy (“Feeling Like”), Bun B (“Candy Paint”), and A Boogie wit Da Hoodie (“Reminiscing”).
“I don’t sugarcoat,” he says. “I talk about the struggle. I talk about how I got it now. I talk about what I did as a kid. I talk about everything. Even if you ain’t been through that shit, when you listening to my shit, you’re gonna feel like you’ve been through it. It’s like a movie. I feel like you’re in this movie right now. I don’t rap. I illustrate. Everything I say is like you see it vividly.”
You can download the album below and be sure to let us know how you are liking Kodak's new project.
Logic drops off the title track to his upcoming album "Everybody."
Earlier in the week, Logic announced the release date to his upcoming album Everybody, which was originally supposed to be called AfricAryaN but was changed to avoid any racial controversy. Set to arrive May 5th, the follow up to last year’s Bobby Tarantino was just made available for pre-order on iTunes at midnight, ultimately revealing a new leak in the process, and that being the title track "Everybody."
Produced by 6ix & PSTMN, take a listen to the fiery new lyrical assault and let us know what you think!
Okay now picture little Bobby just a youngin' runnin' round

Everybody know you ain't about it
Everything you talk about I know I can live without it
Red light, stop, green light, go!
Everything ain't what it seem like, motherfucka I know!
YG drops off a new DJ Mustard-produced banger called "Pop It, Shake It."
Keeping his word from earlier, YG decides to come through tonight and release a new single with DJ Mustard called “Pop It, Shake It."
As the title depicts, YG hops on the bouncy production from Mustard & delivers a strip-club ready banger that finds him shouting out all the bad bitches in the process. It's unknown at the moment if this track will see life on YG's upcoming Just Re'd Up 3 mixtape, which is being executive produced by DJ Mustard, but considering it's on iTunes, it looks like it will be.
Take a listen to the new strip-club anthem and sound off in the comments (below). Single available on iTunes.
Let me see you, no hands
Let me see you pop it like rubber bands
Kan you make me feel like the man?
Kan you sit it all in my right hand?
Pop it, shake it, pop it, shake it

Joining in on the fun is ATL veteran Ludacris, who's decides to link up with Ty Dolla Sign for a new single called “Vitamin D,” his first release since 2015's "Charge It To The Rap Game."

The Cool Kids team up with Asher Roth for the new collab "Wu Financial."
After kicking off the month of March with the new song “More Or Less,” Asher Roth decides to close it out by releasing another new record for fans called “Wu Financial,” featuring The Cool Kids, who are hot off the release of their own record “TV Dinner.”
Serving as the trio’s first collab since 2011’s “Roll Call,” Wu Financial” is a slick & witty, lyrical assault that finds Asher & Sir Michael Rocks rapping effortlessly over the knockin’ production from Chuck Inglish. No word yet as for where this will end up, but Asher does have a project called Red Hot Revival in the works, so maybe it’ll live on there?
For now, stream the new collab & share your thoughts on it (below). Who laid down the best bars?

Freddie Gibbs assists Destructo on the title track to his new EP "Renegade."
At midnight, DJ Gary Richards, aka Destructo, will finally release his star-studded EP Renegade, featuring guest appearances from Pusha T, Kevin Gates, Ty Dolla $ign, Yo Gotti, Tink, Problem, Freddie Gibbs & more. But before it arrives, the talented DJ decides to come through & release the title track ahead of time featuring Freddie Gibbs, who ironically is releasing a project of his own on Friday.
“Freddie rolled over to the studio one day, and I just played him like a bunch of different beats and stuff; ["Renegade" was] the one he gravitated towards. It's kind of different than most of my other stuff—it's definitely the most in-your-face hip-hop record on the EP,” Destructo says about the record.
Following up collabs like “4Real” & “All Nite” with Too Short & E-40, take a listen to the hard-hittin' EDM-infused record & share your thoughts on it (below).

Detroit native Amir Obè is back with None of the Clocks Work, a new seven-track EP filled to the brim with dark synths, hard-hitting drums the sort of emotional songwriting that draws you into his story.
Obè’s been on the scene for quite a while now, but this project should end up being his biggest to date. Six years ago, he showcased his talent when he dropped his Brave EP. Four years after that, he co-produced “Star 67″ for Drake’s If You’re Reading This it’s Too Late album. A few months ago he signed to Dej Jam Records.
Last year we profiled the “Free” performer for our The Break series, and Obè offered up a brief outline for his career plans.

Cam'ron meets Vanessa Carlton on new single "10,000 Miles."
Cam'ron makes his way downtown on his latest single, "10,000 Miles." Backed by the iconic piano riff of Vanessa Carlton, Killa Cam lets his guard down with an extended moment of vulnerability. He had the perfect girl, acted shady and messed things up, and he's trying her back with this heartfelt apology. The track is rumored to be off his new album Killa Season 2, which has been in the works for a couple of years.
For now, check out the song on Apple Music. Cam'Ron also has plans on releasing an accompanying film during the summer, which you can check out in part below.
Best girl in the world I mighta blew it
Like a small condom I'll get through it though
I cheated another one in the books for me
She cleaned, rolled weed and cooked for me
King Kendrick is back!!
As the much anticipated date of April 7 nears, Kendrick Lamar has shared a new song, "HUMBLE.," which arrives along with an accompanying 3-minute video, directed by Dave Meyers. The song is produced by Mike Will Made-It. And, yes, of course it's brilliant.
Channeling all the fury of the Holy Ghost, Kendrick proclaims himself as the Rap God and commands every one of his competitors to kneel before him. Like nearly everything he releases, the song defies the sonic expectations we're prone to associate with the TDE prophet. What on earth does this man have in store for his next project? We'll find out next week...
Joey Bada$$ track "Rockabye Baby" from All-Amerikkkan Bada$$ features Schoolboy Q.
Joey Bada$$ and Schoolboy go in over an ominous beat, featuring eerie chopped-up keys and hard hitting drums. It's the type of beat that invites aggression, and Joey sets things off by aiming straight for the head with a resounding "Fuck Donald Trump!" Schoolboy comes in over a plucked string section, and when the drums kick back, lyrically paints a nightmarish depiction of inner-city struggles. Overall, the track manages to blend sociopolitical commentary while still going hard as hell. If this is any indication of AABA, we're going to be in for a dark ride.
Same routines, the same dope fiends
Them nightmare dreams, forever murder season
Bad intentions to them picket fences
They gave us guns but won't hire us, nigga?
Some new Rich Homie Quan hits Apple Music.
Coming off his latest drop for "Replay," Rich Homie Quan continues the musical barrage with "Da Streetz." While the Zaytoven laced cut had previously leaked in an unfinished state, this is the official release. Quan takes us down memory lane, reflecting on the one thing he always knew - the streets. While the song is both melancholic and introspective, Quan switches up the flow in verse two, showing off his musical versatility with some clever rhyme schemes and melodies.
Rich Homie Quan recently signed a deal with Motown Records, and if this string of new music is any indication, 2017 is poised to be a big year for him.
And I succeeded at that,
By twenty-four had ten cars I thought a Beamer was next,
My nigga my nigga went platinum I received me a plaque
By twenty five million I had maybe like 5 more man I ain't done yet

Invoking imagery of sports cars cruising through the city at midnight, Kodak reminds us that he drives like a man without fear nor care.
The Fate of the Furious soundtrack is set to drop on April 14th.

Leaving the flute-driven beat intact, Bossman JD delivers a braggadocios freestyle that finds him rapping about the streets, drug use, & bitches to name a few of things. Highlighted by his unique cadence & flow, JD is someone you should probably get yourself familiar with because this just the beginning of his musical path.

Peanut Da Don and T.I. connect on "Trenches reloaded (Remix)."
Hustle Gang are gearing up for a new series of hot singles. T.I. kicked off the project by honoring the memory of Peanut Da Don, an Atlanta emcee whose career was cut short last fall. Tip jumped and remixed the late Hustle Gang rapper's hit track "Trenches Reloaded."
Peanut Da Don spits about coming up the hard way in the A and his upbringing has turned him into a hard man. The original "Trenches Reloaded" music video has more than a million views on Worldstar Hiphop. However, Nut never witnessed the success of his song. Tip comes in near the end and puts flames on a track that was already lit.

First time I witnessed a homicide
To tell you the truth I was horrified
